Throughout Garden of Reason, the exhibition was animated by a series of talks and tours.

Garden of Reason’s curator Tessa Fitzjohn led many special tours of the major commissions throughout the summer, and curator of Hollybush Gardens, Lisa Panting joined us to lead one in May.

Several of our major artists also held talks in our resource room, sharing with visitors and volunteers the thoughts, inspiration and process behind their work.

The historical strand was not forgotten, with historians Sally Jeffery and Michael Ann Mullen, garden historian Twigs Way, authors Anne Goldgar and Ilsa Colsell, and Professor Robert Iliffe giving talks throughout the season.
